报告摘要:
The “TriJet” is an advanced propulsion concept suitable for High Speed Transport Aircraft. Its benefits are related to advanced features such as round flowpath structures with inward turning inlets and efficient air flow management through the system. Dependent on the operating speed the system operates in a combined turbine engine – ducted rocket – ramjet mode during acceleration; at high speed cruise it employs a novel core-burning scramjet engine. Consideration has been given to high transonic vehicle drag, thermal cocooning of the turbine engine during hypersonic flight and its restart issues during the deceleration phase.
